Keeping parakeets is something of a Maltese custom and, until recently, it wasn’t that unusual to see people bringing their feathered friends with them on walks. Our take on the traditional birdcage, which we’ve been producing by hand since the 1970s, is somewhat more low-maintenance – and makes a chic candle holder.
