Luzzus are traditional Maltese fishing boats. Wake up early in the morning and you’ll see the brightly coloured vessels gliding through the harbours. When Rowley and Sophie started working at the pottery, this design was a purely decorative piece; it was their idea to turn it into a lamp, with a curved sail for a shade. Hand-painted in Mediterranean blue, our Luzzus are also marked with the evil eye, a talismanic symbol believed to protect fishermen.
