Many decades ago, the late Aldo Cremona, a master painter who worked at Villa Bologna Pottery for 65 years, decided that he’d had enough of painting only men and decided to turn some of our Admiral vases – a nod to Malta’s seafaring military history – into women. Everyone liked them so much, we kept them. Now you can choose between handsome sailors in striped tops, or winsome women bedecked in jewellery. Both look beautiful with a bunch of fresh flow.
